Halkbank Sports Club

Established on July 21, 1983, the Halkbank Sports Club was formed with the aim of nurturing new and accomplished athletes in Türkiye and fostering the growth of sports in the country. Under its emblem of red, white, and blue, the club has made significant contributions to Turkish sports, notably in volleyball and handball over the years.

Volleyball and Handball

Throughout its 26-year history, the Halkbank Sports Club has actively supported numerous aspiring athletes, providing significant aid to amateur sportspeople in Türkiye. Initially active in football and volleyball following its establishment, the club shifted its focus to volleyball and handball from the 1990s onward. Achieving a rapid ascent to success in volleyball and handball, the Halkbank Sports Club has notably secured numerous national and international victories, etching its place in Turkish sports history.

Championships in the Turkish Volleyball Leagues

Having many championships in the Turkish Volleyball Leagues, the Halkbank Sports Club won the most championship titles in the Turkish Volleyball Leagues between 1992 and 1996, including five-time consecutive champs in the Turkish First Volleyball League and two-time winners of the Turkish Cup – a record that is tough to beat! Moreover, the Halkbank Sports Club has become one of the most successful Turkish handball teams – as four-time Turkish League champions, one-time Turkish Cup champions, and three-time Presidency Cup champions.

Championships

Our team became the champion of the league 10 times in the seasons 1991-1992, 1992-1993, 1993-1994, 1994-1995, 1995-1996, 2013-2014, 2015-2016, 2016-2017, 2017-2018 and 2023-2024. Becoming the champion for 5 times in a row in the past years, our team assumed the title of the team with the highest number of championships among active clubs.

Halkbank Sports Club has successfully competed in the men's category for years and joined the Beach Volleyball men's league, which was established in the 2009 - 2010 season.
