Sezai UÇARMAK

Sezai Uçarmak was born in Ordu in 1964. He graduated from the Department of Public Administration in the Faculty of Political Sciences at Istanbul University. In 1987, he started working at the Ministry of Customs as an Assistant Customs Inspector. He then was promoted to Customs Inspector and Chief Customs Inspector. Between the years of 1994 and 1998, he gave lectures on “Customs and Foreign Trade” at Istanbul University Institute of Social Sciences. Between the years of 2003 and 2005, he served as Director of Customs. Having worked as a Chief Customs Inspector between 2005 and 2008, Uçarmak then served as the Head of the Board of Inspectors until 2011. In November 2011, he was assigned to the role of Deputy Undersecretary at the Ministry of Customs and Trade. Having been appointed as Deputy Minister at the Ministry of Trade on January 18, 2019, Uçarmak also serves as a Board Member at Türkiye Halk Bankası A.Ş. since February 27, 2019.
